Finally, here's a quick recap from the skate/blade comp (KARNIVAL SUKAN PELANCONGAN W.P. LABUAN) on the 25th & 26th of june. Everything here is shot only on the 25th which is the qualifying round but the results are also in the video because i didn't get to shoot on the finals. Reason is i need to head back to KK like damn early on that day. But yea, definitely the best event i've been in ever and this is pretty much all i can put on from that day. Cheers!

Rest In Peace to the soul of Al-Rusdi Yusuf Aka Babun

One of the local skater from KK, Al-Rusdi Yusuf a.k.a. Babun had just passed away from an accident just recently, unfortunately, i haven't got the chance to know the man himself that much but i know we have the same love on skateboarding and being a skateboarder, also when it comes to things like this, i'm sure all we humans tend to think about how life could be taken away just like that. All we can do is appreciate more with the life we've been given and pray always to the one that had passed away so that their soul could rest in peace, so let's all give moment of silence for him and pray so that his soul may rest in peace. Much condolences to everyone of Babun's family and friends. Rest in peace bro, you will be missed!

It's now 31st March 2011 at 10:48pm and another 12 Hours 09 Minutes Left Now!! Still on the countdown for the launch on another one of the latest local web production for the skateboarding & other extreme scene in Malaysia. Slow Mo TV is what it is, and as what i've found out from Man Extras' blog, www.manextra.blogspot.com, as usual the aim for these things are always about pushing up the local scene in Malaysia. All about promoting skateboarding, BMX & inline thru the aspects of events & competitions, trick tips, interviews & many more. I'd have to say the uprise on promoting the locals with this way is very good, cause this will definitely bring up all the scene and happening here in Malaysia.

What is up readers?! As you could see up there the title, 60fps Videos, which is one of the latest video production (Skate Videos & more) here in Malaysia. The production is runned by the people under Yak Yak/Yak Yak Ent. 60fps Videos are more focused on the filming and editing footage of the skate scene that's happening mostly all over Malaysia. What i could tell from their facebook page, they're soon to be targeting on a production house. I can't really say much but just go check them out. Borneo Update! (SLA Shop)

Here goes, SLA Shop! Finally another up rise on the skate scene here in borneo/east malaysia. For everyone of ya'll that's wondering what SLA is, it simply stance for Skate + Lomo + Art. Just to let you guys know, the owners of the shop are husband & wife, Charles aka Achai & Emily. Achai told me that the main concept of the store is pretty much on the skateboarding and the rest is on Lomography/Photography. For the artworks they got in their shop are much different from any other normal art shop, because they prefer arts from the local artist(mainly borneo). Besides that, Achai wants everyone to have a chance on what they're passionate about such as the artist with their artwork and photographers with their photography. One way of him doing that is by promoting their work on the shops' "Arts Wall" which isn't that big like the normal galleries but he said it's one way to start with on promoting these talented people. Every month they will feature on different artists. So now, i'm suggesting everyone that's reading should.. Wait scratch that, everyone that's reading MUST give SLA a visit while you're at KK. So to end this thing, i wanna congratulate Achai & Emily on SLA with what it is now and wish you guys all the best in the future. Cheers!

It's been like centuries since DMC had been updated with anything but anyways, for now. We'll be updating you guys about the new skate shop that just got on the scene. "Hz Skateboards" is what it is, and the shop is runned by our own local pro skater Hairul Zain aka Kechiq Ampunk.. You could find the shop at FF05, Gurney Complex, Lot 358 - 365, Jalan Persiaran Gurney, 54000, Kuala Lumpur (refer from the map above) and it opens everyday from 10:00am till 9:30pm.

Hey ya'll, it's been a pretty long time since i've updated anything on the blog so on this chapter i'mma hit you guys up with this new thing that just came up on the scene called "Loop Distribution". So yea, some of ya'll may heard about this thing around mostly everywhere on facebook right? Well, loop distribution is pretty much your basic local distribution company that pretty much supplies all those skate products that you guys might need and they supply goods such as Lakai, Fallen, DVS, VOX, Dekline and more but their latest ones are Jart & Anagram Skateboards. So, i've chat around with the owner of the company, Amer Izani, and he told me that Loop Distribution is a rebrand of his old company "Grindhouse Entreprise" which used to be a local skate shop in Johor Bharu. So for now, they're still in the progress to get themselves known in the public and still in a promotion period before they start as an official distribution company. Loop distribution for now only run as an online skate shop and as for now they have sponsored 2 of the local skaters who are Man Extra & Perak JB. Amer also said that they will be coming up with some of their own goods to put up for the company as soon as the company goes official. Well i guess that's pretty much what i could talk on Loop so if any of you guys are interested on getting those stuffs that you need. Loop might be the one to hook you up with all that so all you guys have to do is just hit them up at their facebook page or even their website down there.. and that's all from me.. Peace!

On this video, it's pretty much about the skate session we had the other day which actually was last month on 24th of July, 2010 but anyways,, that time the park was still in the progress on getting repaired so the guys planned out to go on a little street session around the city. So, we started out rolling from spot to spot from "Financial Park" to the stairs spot at "Hotel Labuan" and "Standard Charted Bank" and the day ended out at the gap spot at the "Waterfront Hotel".

DMC Apparels?? yessur!! you read that right,, this idea sort of just came up when i had a little chat with one of the homies/skater on DMC SKATE TEAM, Amar, and he just brought the thing up and i thought that it would be a really great idea to like bring up the team's name and so i just put up a sample design of the tee and so up there is what i've pretty much just came up with right after..So, give us your thoughts on these DMC Apparels on DMC SKATE TEAM's facebook.. and soon or hopefully, the process will slowly go out to the local markets for all of you guys out there.. and yea,, that's pretty much it.. Are you guys seeing what i'm seeing?? yessur,, the shit's real.. went to the park just now and this is what i've got.. guess puttin us up on the paper paid off,, coz after that 2 days they started to tear the plywoods on the obstacles and now they're on the process of puttin new ones up.. and i also got some news sayin that they'll re-cement the park and put up some new cement obstacle on.. So,, pretty hyped for it and let's all together wait for the thing to finish and hopefully there'll be like an opening for the skate park and like pull off a opening party there... So,, that's pretty much it.. Cheers Guys!!

This came out last tuesday on the 20th of July, 2010 on Borneo Post & Utusan Borneo newspapers and the main point on having this thing is pretty much to just get more people to get involve on the sport itself over here in labuan and the other one is to get the local authorities to help out on repairing on the broken parts on the obstacles on the skate park. So, hopefully this would bring some great comebacks for the labuan skaters and just get more of the people to get into these xtreme sports... So, that's all i got for today.. Cheers Guys!!
